2007 Judges will be announced after the competition.
The Create Awards are judged by advertising and creative production professionals from around the nation. Entries are judged by a panel of judges selected by Create Magazine. Judging is done on the individual merit of work, and the success in accomplishing its intended goal. Entries are judged independently, and winners are determined based upon the merits of the piece. Winning entries are calculated based on the combined scores of the judges who evaluate each entry.

Raised by single father and fading boxer “Battling Jack” in Hell’s Kitchen. “Battling Jack” instilled in Steve the importance of education and non-violence. Carsella, taunted by bullies who called him “Daredevil,” vented frustration and anger by working out typographic design solutions in secret. While saving a blind man, Carsella was blinded by radioactive material. The radioactive exposure heightened his remaining senses beyond normal thresholds, enabling him to kern, cut and paste and manipulate Bezier curves. These powers were enough to get Carsella’s work published in major design publications including HOW and Graphis. His work has also been featured in various design books like “Swag: The Art of Poster Design” and “Best of Letterheads and Business Cards 4.” Like most superheroes, he’s managed to remain relevant and has used his powers for good for clients as varied as Coca-Cola and the NBA to small boutiques and local musicians.
